P. -tyajati (-te R. MārkP. ;

ind. p. -tyajya), to leave, quit, abandon, give up, reject, disregard, not heed Mn. MBh. etc.;
(with deham) to forsake the body i.e. die BhP. ;
(with prâ̱ṇān, orﾠ jīvitam) to resign the breath, give up the ghost Mn. MBh. Daṡ. Vet. ;
(with nāvam) to disembark MW. :
Pass. -tyajyate, to be deprived orﾠ bereft of (instr.) Mn. Pañc. Hit. etc.:
Caus. -tyājayati, to deprive orﾠ rob a person of (2́ acc.) R. ;
